These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern your access to and use of the Compounding Research service, a subscription-based investment research platform owned and operated by Robin Geers (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By subscribing to or using any part of this service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Agreement in full. If you do not agree with any of its provisions, you must not access or use the service.
1) Nature of the Service – No Investment Advice
Compounding Research is a publisher of financial information. The content we provide—whether in the form of written research, emails, downloadable documents, or any other format—is strictly intended for educational and informational purposes. We are not licensed financial advisors, brokers, or investment professionals, and we do not offer personalized investment advice or recommendations.
Nothing in our publications constitutes an offer to buy or sell any security, nor does it represent a recommendation to pursue any investment strategy. We operate under the “publisher’s exemption” as outlined in Article 202(a)(11)(D) of the U.S. Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and comparable provisions in EU and Belgian law. All investment decisions should be made in consultation with a qualified, licensed financial advisor.
2) Subscriptions, Billing, and Access
Subscriptions to Compounding Research are billed annually unless explicitly stated otherwise. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method at the start of each billing cycle. Your access is personal, non-transferable, and strictly limited to the registered user.
You agree not to share your login credentials or distribute any portion of our content—whether paid or free—without our prior written consent. All subscription prices are listed in Euros (EUR) and may include applicable VAT depending on your jurisdiction. We reserve the right to adjust pricing at any time, with reasonable notice provided to existing subscribers.
3) Waiver of Right of Withdrawal and Refund Policy
In compliance with Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive, by subscribing to Compounding Research, you expressly agree to begin receiving digital content immediately and waive your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal.
All payments are final. We do not offer refunds except where required by law. You may cancel your subscription at any time; however, your access will continue until the end of the current billing period and no prorated refunds will be issued for unused time.
4) Intellectual Property and Use Restrictions
All materials published or distributed by Compounding Research—including but not limited to research reports, memos, charts, emails, website content, and downloadable files—are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, redistribute, modify, sell, republish, upload to public forums, or otherwise share any part of our content without our prior written authorization. Any unauthorized use will result in immediate termination of access and may lead to legal action.
5) Email Communication
By subscribing, you consent to receive email communications related to the delivery of our services, including but not limited to content updates, transactional notices, and customer support correspondence. You may unsubscribe from promotional messages at any time, but doing so will not affect essential communications regarding your subscription. We will never sell or rent your email address to third parties.
6) Privacy and Data Protection
We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We collect only the information strictly necessary to provide our services, such as your name, email address, and billing details.
You retain full rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. For more information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
7) Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Compounding Research, its founder, team members, and contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our content or platform.
While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the information we provide, we cannot guarantee it. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Any reliance you place on our content is strictly at your own risk.
8) Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration in Ghent, Belgium. By agreeing to these Terms, you waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit.
9) Termination of Access
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access to Compounding Research, without prior notice, if we believe you have violated this Agreement. This includes, but is not limited to, misuse of the service, abusive behavior, or unauthorized distribution of content. No refunds will be granted upon termination due to breach.
10) Modifications to the Agreement
We may revise or update these Terms at any time. In the event of material changes, we will notify you via email. Continued use of the service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Agreement. It is your responsibility to review this page periodically.
